Find a Badminton Partner in Your City
Find a badminton partner by matching experience, singles or doubles preferences and court availability, then agree on booking costs and equipment.
Finding someone who likes badminton is only the first step. A workable session also needs a court, compatible expectations, clear costs and enough confirmed players for the format you choose.
Explain your experience and preferred format
Say whether you are learning, returning to the sport or looking for a competitive session. Choose singles, doubles or casual practice before inviting people. For doubles, confirm all four participants rather than assuming someone will bring a friend. Discuss whether rotating players fits your court booking and group size.
Confirm the court before collecting money
Check the venue’s current availability, session length, price, cancellation terms and equipment rules. Ask about permitted footwear, racket hire and whether shuttles are included. Share the booking details and agree on each person’s contribution before collecting a payment. Do not promise a court or a discount until the venue confirms it.
Make costs and cancellations fair
Decide who books, when participants must confirm and what happens if someone cancels. A venue may charge for a missed slot even if a player drops out; explain that possibility beforehand. Agree whether to seek a replacement and how any refund from the venue will be shared. Avoid adding undisclosed charges after the session.
Keep the first session welcoming
Meet at the staffed venue entrance. Confirm how long you will play and whether the emphasis is practice or competition. Ask before offering corrections, respect breaks and follow the venue’s rules. A shared court booking does not mean anyone has agreed to coaching, filming or a recurring commitment.
Write a specific badminton invitation
Example: “Looking for a casual badminton partner this weekend. Let’s confirm a public court, one booking slot, equipment and shared costs before paying. Happy to practise rather than play competitively.” Use Weefou to explore or create an activity plan; player availability varies by area and date.
Questions before the next game
Must I own a racket? Check whether the venue offers hire and its price before booking.
What if one doubles player cancels? Agree on a replacement or a different format within the venue’s rules; do not assume the booking is refundable.
How do we make it regular? Ask after the first session whether the timing, costs and format worked for everyone.
